Scott has over 20 years’ experience in the Construction and Development industry specialising in the delivery of projects from acquisition to handover. Scott has a Construction Management Degree and holds an Open Builders licence. Scott’s significant site experience and successful delivery of large scale projects have built a diverse skill set, including project management, technical direction, statutory responsibility, value management and operational leadership. His attributes and skill set compliment the Development Directive team bringing a fresh approach to Project Management focusing on strong communication and astute financial practice.

Connor has over 8 years of property development experience after working on numerous large residential and mixed-use regeneration projects across Australia and the United Kingdom. He has a broad depth of experience working with a variety of innovative construction methods including modular and off-site construction, with a strong background in affordable housing. Connor holds a Master’s Degree in Valuation and Property Development from Bond University, and a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Queensland University of Technology.

Lachlan brings over eight years of experience within the construction industry, having worked across the retail, commercial and industrial sectors. His diverse project exposure has equipped him with a strong understanding of project delivery, stakeholder coordination and on-site problem solving.

Lachlan holds an Honours Degree in Urban Development and has developed particular expertise in tenancy coordination and managing complex projects within demanding timeframes. Lachlan’s practical, solutions-focused approach and proven track record make him a valued member of the team.

Since graduating with Honours in Engineering and Economics, Josh has gained over 5 years of experience spread across both client and contractor sides of residential and infrastructure projects. In this time, he has become adept at navigating technically complex problems and employing a commercial focus to practical solutions.

Josh’s technical skillset combined with his collaborative & diplomatic approach to project management compliment the development .

Since graduating with Distinction in Property Economics from the Queensland University of Technology, Nick has 5 years’ experience managing health, civil and aviation projects in both Queensland and New South Wales. Having served as a superintendent for the majority of his professional career, Nick can effectively manage the delivery of a project through conceptual design to defect management.

Utilising his communication and technical skills, Nick encourages collaboration from all parties in the project team to efficiently deliver projects that aligns with client expectation.

Caitlin is an accomplished Project Manager with over three years of experience leading projects from inception to completion.

Her expertise spans contract administration, stakeholder engagement, and resource allocation, with a strong focus on delivering projects on time and within budget.

Known for her meticulous attention to detail and ability to navigate complex project environments, Caitlin excels in ensuring operational efficiency while maintaining strong client relationships. She brings a results-driven approach to every project, making her a valuable asset to the Development Directive team.

Oliver is a Graduate Project Manager at Development Directive, having progressed into the role after demonstrating strong capability, dedication and enthusiasm during his initial work experience and subsequent part-time position with the company.

In his role, Oliver assists the team across a wide range of projects, including residential developments, retail centres, industrial facilities and large-scale subdivisions — giving him a strong foundation in the drivers, risks and delivery requirements across sectors. He approaches every task with professionalism, attention to detail and a commitment to delivering quality outcomes from early planning through to completion.

Matt is a Graduate Project Manager at Development Directive, holding a Bachelor of Property Economics from the Queensland University of Technology. He has experience in residential development, assisting with site due diligence, acquisitions and development planning.

Matt has also worked in Development Valuations , providing him with a strong analytical foundation and a comprehensive understanding of the key factors that drive successful project outcomes.

Lachlan has legal and planning qualifications and applies this practice in giving development advice. Lachlan specialises in the planning approval strategy, negotiation, development appeals and project feasibility advice. Lachlan’s experience has been in major development projects which often involve technical complexity. Lachlan also provides advice to government agencies about land use strategy, planning scheme policy and development of Council assets. Lachlan prides himself on taking responsibility for a project, being a pro-active and taking a commercial focus to project decision-making.

James is the Associate Director of the Town Planning team at Development Directive drawing on his vast experience across his career in Queensland, Victoria and London. James specialises in development approvals and project advocacy and is passionate about achieving good planning outcomes with his client’s interests at the forefront.

James has led planning projects across industrial, commercial, education and residential sectors, including experience on affordable housing and build to rent projects. James brings a collaborative approach to project teams and through his experience in the public sector is adept at managing various government stakeholders.

Peter has legal and planning qualification and over 50 years experience in property development. He has worked as a solicitor, development consultant, lecturer and developer in his own right.

In more recent years, Peter has specialised in the management of large scale approvals through complicated political, legislative and court processes including court appeals, in both NSW and QLD. Most notably Peter has lead the development teams of Casuarina Beach, NSW and Metroplex at Westgate in Wacol, Qld.

Peter also acts for private land owners in negotiating compensation settlements for land resumption by government agency. Peter has been involved in some of the largest resumption settlements in Qld.

Peter has significant experience in providing advice on infrastructure provision, charging and developer contributions and the negotiation of same under infrastructure agreements.

Flannan is a town planner with over 40 years of experience in both public and private practice. Flannan specialises in providing development strategy, masteplanning and approval advice for major projects around Australia. Flannan has established a well-liked and reputable relationship with various local government and state government agencies and prides himself on his ability to negotiate practical and feasible development outcomes on behalf of his clients.

Notably, Flannan has lead the development approval of major projects including Goodman Motorway Estates at Redbank and Roachedale, Qld and significant residential masterplan's including Shoreline in Redland City, Qld.

Sam is a Principal Town Planner with 10+ years of experience in the private sector. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Regional and Town Planning from UQ and a Graduate Certificate in Business from QUT.

His knowledge of statutory approvals and processes enables Sam to focuses on optimizing outcomes for clients, from development through to policy advice.

Sam employs structured thought when applying policy. His diplomatic approach ensures a strong working relationship with Council officers whilst advocating for better planning outcomes.

Nicholas is a planning professional with over a decade of experience spanning local government and private practice, specialising in development assessment leadership, approvals strategy and stakeholder coordination. He has a proven track record leading complex applications, guiding multidisciplinary teams, and facilitating outcomes across government, industry and community stakeholders.

With deep expertise in Queensland's planning framework, Nicholas brings a practical, solutions-focused approach to balancing development, infrastructure and place outcomes — while mentoring staff and driving efficient, high-quality planning results aligned with strategic growth objectives.

Rory is a qualified Town Planner, holding both Bachelor of Science (Physical Geography) and Master’s of Planning degrees. His portfolio includes residential, industrial, and rural developments, as well as providing strategic development advice for clients navigating complex planning approvals. 

Rory’s expertise extends across all stages of the planning process from project conception through to approval. His ability to navigate regulatory landscapes, coupled with his strategic foresight, enables him to provide sound advice and practical solutions tailored to client needs. 

Ashlyn is a Town Planner with experience across both private consultancy and local government, specialising in statutory planning, development assessment and strategic urban outcomes. She has a proven capability delivering complex projects within fast-paced environments, including large-scale urban renewal and Priority Development Area (PDA) developments.

Recognised as a reliable and high-performing team member, Ashlyn brings strong technical skills, stakeholder engagement experience and growing project leadership capability.

Leah is a results-driven Town Planner with extensive private-sector experience in urban planning and project management, bringing detailed technical knowledge of QLD and NSW state and local planning frameworks — from strategic policy through to DA approvals and compliance.

Over her career, Leah has obtained approval for a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial and industrial developments, ranging from small infill projects to complex, multi-stage sites. She is skilled at managing consultants and stakeholder relationships, and at navigating approval pathways efficiently, complementing the Development Directive team.

Ryan is a Town Planner at Development Directive and a dedicated member of our Town Planning team. Ryan has graduated from the University if Queensland and has developed a comprehensive, technical knowledge of the planning industry and current legislation.

Having assisted on a range of projects across South-East Queensland, Ryan is well positioned to deliver considered and strategic advice to his clients. Ryan confidently manages his projects from inception to completion and advocates strongly for his clients throughout the development application and assessment process.

Alex is a Graduate Town Planner at Development Directive, having joined the team in 2025 following the completion of her Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning (Honours) at the University of Queensland. She brings prior industry experience as an Assistant Planner, contributing to both statutory and strategic planning projects across a range of development contexts.

Alex has been involved in residential, commercial and mixed-use projects, assisting with due diligence assessments, preparation of planning reports and development application management — building a strong understanding of planning processes and policy frameworks.

Jonty is a Graduate Town Planner at Development Directive, having joined in mid-2025 through a work placement before transitioning into a full-time role. He holds a Bachelor of Urban and Regional Planning from QUT, with minors in Engineering Foundations and Small-scale Residential Construction.

Since joining, Jonty has shown a strong ability to perform under pressure and support project teams, contributing to residential and industrial projects including fee proposals, due diligence reports and technical research.

Hayley has vast experience in running the finance and administration functions of several businesses and holds qualifications in business and accounting. Hayley has a proven track record of managing office operations and procedures ensuring efficiency whilst maintaining stringent compliance requirements.

Hayley oversees the daily operations at the DD office and supports the company’s staff  culture and working environment.
