  • Scott has over 20 years’ experience in the Construction and Development industry specialising in the delivery of projects from acquisition to handover. Scott has a Construction Management Degree and holds an Open Builders licence. Scott’s significant site experience and successful delivery of large scale projects have built a diverse skill set, including project management, technical direction, statutory responsibility, value management and operational leadership. His attributes and skill set compliment the Development Directive team bringing a fresh approach to Project Management focusing on strong communication and astute financial practice.

  • Lachlan has legal and planning qualifications and applies this practice in giving development advice. Lachlan specialises in the planning approval strategy, negotiation, development appeals and project feasibility advice. Lachlan’s experience has been in major development projects which often involve technical complexity. Lachlan also provides advice to government agencies about land use strategy, planning scheme policy and development of Council assets. Lachlan prides himself on taking responsibility for a project, being a pro-active and taking a commercial focus to project decision-making.

  • Peter has legal and planning qualification and over 50 years experience in property development. He has worked as a solicitor, development consultant, lecturer and developer in his own right.

    In more recent years, Peter has specialised in the management of large scale approvals through complicated political, legislative and court processes including court appeals, in both NSW and QLD. Most notably Peter has lead the development teams of Casuarina Beach, NSW and Metroplex at Westgate in Wacol, Qld.

    Peter also acts for private land owners in negotiating compensation settlements for land resumption by government agency. Peter has been involved in some of the largest resumption settlements in Qld.

    Peter has significant experience in providing advice on infrastructure provision, charging and developer contributions and the negotiation of same under infrastructure agreements.

 
  • As Development Directive’s Office Manager, Casandra is the go-to person for all things office, accounts and operations related.

    Cassandra is responsible for the day-to-day management of the administration team, customer service, accounts and human resources.

    Cassandra is also a member of the executive team and provides executive assistance to the directors.

  • Flannan is a town planner with over 40 years of experience in both public and private practice. Flannan specialises in providing development strategy, masteplanning and approval advice for major projects around Australia. Flannan has established a well-liked and reputable relationship with various local government and state government agencies and prides himself on his ability to negotiate practical and feasible development outcomes on behalf of his clients.

    Notably, Flannan has lead the development approval of major projects including Goodman Motorway Estates at Redbank and Roachedale, Qld and significant residential masterplan's including Shoreline in Redland City, Qld.

  • Geoff has over 10 years’ experience on major built environment projects across Australia, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the Middle East. Geoff has particular experience on projects with large stakeholder teams and complex design, approval and procurement procedures.

    Geoff has particular strength in design management from his time embedded within globally renowned architectural and engineering teams in London. Combined with his ability to implement practical solutions, he ensures that projects are established with strict project constraints and are managed by robust project controls.

 
  • Connor has over 8 years of property development experience after working on numerous large residential and mixed-use regeneration projects across Australia and the United Kingdom. He has a broad depth of experience working with a variety of innovative construction methods including modular and off-site construction, with a strong background in affordable housing. Connor holds a Master’s Degree in Valuation and Property Development from Bond University, and a Bachelor of Business (Management) from Queensland University of Technology.

  • Huw brings more than 12 years of Construction and Design experience, specialising in live environments to Development Directive. Huw holds a QBCC Open Site Supervisors License, a registration with AIPM and Architectural qualifications.

    Huw brings a wealth of experience to Development Directive, both as a registered Architect and as a project manager having worked in both contractor and client-side PM roles in the past.

  • Nick is an experienced Project Manager at Development Directive, and he holds a dual degree in Civil Engineering and Finance. Nick previously worked as a project engineer and superintendent on a number of large-scale multistage subdivisions in both PDA and non-PDA areas.

    Nick was responsible for coordinating all aspects of the projects from operational works approvals, all the way through to off-maintenance inspections and plan sealing and acceptances with the respective contractors and authorities.

 
  • Amy has extensive contractor side experience having worked for several years in a family-owned fabrication and construction company in North Queensland.

    Amy thrives on attention to detail and has an insight into complex built structures stemming from her Bachelor of Civil Engineering degree from the University of Queensland.

  • Elliot is a Principal Town Planner with significant development experience in the private sector. Elliot has a comprehensive, technical knowledge of the planning industry and current legislation, having facilitated a range of complex development approvals throughout Queensland.

    Elliot’s diverse knowledge of statutory approvals and strategic approach to land use planning enables her to deliver considered and detailed advice to her clients, attaining best practice planning outcomes for a range of development types.

  • Sam is a Senior Town Planner with 10+ years of experience in the private sector. Sam holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Regional and Town Planning from UQ and a Graduate Certificate in Business from QUT.

    His knowledge of statutory approvals and processes enables Sam to focuses on optimizing outcomes for clients, from development through to policy advice.

    Sam employs structured thought when applying policy. His diplomatic approach ensures a strong working relationship with Council officers whilst advocating for better planning outcomes.

 
  • Graham is a Registered Planner and brings in excess of 30 years planning experience to Development Directive gained from positions he has held in the private sector and state and local governments throughout Queensland. He has lectured students at the University of Queensland and served as mentor to young planners in the PIA Young Planners mentor program.

    As well as having served in an official capacity on the Planning Institute of Australia Divisional Committee, he readily offers his expertise in a voluntary capacity to communities, including most recently to Brisbane & Ipswich flood victims on behalf of Emergency Architects Australia.

    Graham specializes in providing development strategy, master planning and approval advice and has established a reputable relationship with clients and various local government and state government agencies.

  • Leah is a Town Planner with experience in the private sector and public sector. Throughout her career, Leah has developed a detailed understanding of state and local legislative planning instruments across QLD and NSW has experience working on small to large-scale residential, commercial and industrial developments. She has proven capabilities in development application preparation, coordination and management and enjoys liaising with state and local government authorities to ensure the best planning outcomes for her clients.

  • Maddison is a Town Planner who has experience within both the public and private sectors, with extensive experience on residential and commercial projects. Maddie has a longstanding passion for the development industry and since graduating from the Queensland University of Technology in 2019 has developed a strong knowledge of the statutory planning framework, ensuring she can advocate for quality planning outcomes for both clients and the community.

    Maddie prides herself on building strong relationships with both clients and government authorities, which assists in working through the, at times complex, planning system to achieve a positive planning outcome.

 
  • Katherine is a Town Planner at Development Directive with experience in development assessment, master planning, strategic land use planning, environmental impact statements and obtaining approvals for infrastructure projects.

    Katherine has primarily worked in the private sector, where she has gained extensive experience in a range of projects including residential subdivisions, industrial development and energy development and infrastructure. Katherine has also worked at the Department of Main Road and Transport where she was involved in development assessment, access and works approvals, noise covenant compliance and court appeals and ministerial matters.

    Katherine has a comprehensive understanding of strategic and statutory planning frameworks having been involved in a range of projects across Queensland and various local government areas. She is able to draw from this broad experience to deliver considered and detailed advice to Clients.

  • Ryan is a Graduate Town Planner at Development Directive and a dedicated member of our Town Planning team. Ryan has graduated from the University if Queensland and has developed a comprehensive, technical knowledge of the planning industry and current legislation.

    Having assisted on a range of projects across South-East Queensland, Ryan is well positioned to deliver considered and strategic advice to his clients. Ryan confidently manages his projects from inception to completion and advocates strongly for his clients throughout the development application and assessment process.

  • Janice is a dedicated Town Planning Assistant at Development Directive. She is currently in her third year pursuing a Bachelor of Regional and Town Planning degree at The University of Queensland. Janice has proven to be a valuable team member during her previous work experience placement and has impressed the team with her knowledge and planning acumen. Janice’s affinity for reading maps and her genuine enthusiasm for town planning shine through in her work.

    Her journey as an international high achiever scholar at UQ has laid a strong foundation for her practical yet innovative approach to town planning challenges. With her experience as a demonstrator at the University, she adeptly translates complex theories into understandable concepts for her peers, promising a future where her skills and passion coalesce to make a difference in communities.
