Project Description

Mesh & Bar's purpose-built reinforcement bar processing facility at Brendale is a large-scale industrial development comprising a 12,002m² warehouse, a three-level office component of 1,366m², and 23,000m² of operational hardstand, supported by a 500kW solar system.

The Development Directive provided integrated town planning and project management services for the facility's delivery, managing the planning approval process — including associated Planning and Environment Court proceedings — before continuing in a project management role through detailed design, tendering and construction. The Development Directive coordinated design and consultant inputs to address the client's specialised operational brief, while identifying value-management and design-efficiency opportunities during tender without compromising the project's functional requirements. Delivery required careful management of challenging ground conditions, existing services and the operational demands of a large-scale reinforcement processing facility.
